Spring 2025About Pierce Stoneburner
Trevor Pierce Stoneburner is a freelance lighting designer based in Washington, DC. He is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. He received at B.A. in theatre with a minor in business. While in DC, Pierce has been the lighting designer for several theater productions and dances including the national tour of A Charlie Brown Christmas Live and American Girl Live in Concert. In addition to his designs, we serves as the Lead Electrician at Mosaic Theater Company and Production Manager for Washington Improv Theater. He has also served as electrician or programmer for a variety of companies including The Library of Congress, Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, Keegan Theater, Avant Bard, Studio Theater, among many others.
While studying at Southwestern, Pierce has enjoyed the challenges of being the projection designer for A Bright Room Called Day; stage manager for Five Women Wearing the Same Dress; and, lighting designer for Heathers the Musical and The Wolves.
In addition to his work at University, he has also worked at the Georgetown Palace Theatre where he served as the stage manager, lighting, and set designer for several shows over three years. In addition to his work in Georgetown, he has several contracts in Austin including ZACH Theatre, Ballet East Dance Co, The Vortex, and Austin Shakespeare. Additionally, he has completed two sumer stock seasons at Heritage Theatre Festival and Maine State Music Theatre.
Pierce currently resides in the DC area and is avaialable for freelance design and electrical work.
